Scarlette Ng

Scarlette Ng has extensive work experience in the field of software release engineering and project management.

Scarlette is currently working as a Project Manager Technical Lead at ReleaseTEAM, Inc. since May 2023.

Prior to this, Scarlette worked as a Senior Release Engineer at iHerb, LLC from April 2021 to May 2022.

Scarlette also served as a Release Engineer at Poynt from May 2018 to April 2019.

Scarlette has valuable experience as a Sr. Build and Release Engineer at Immersion Corporation from July 2014 to December 2017. In this role, they trained and assisted others in software development and release duties, developed and maintained build infrastructure, administered various tools such as Git, Gerrit, and Bugzilla, implemented a continuous integration strategy with Jenkins, and provided internal support for Collabnet Teamforge.

Before that, they worked as a Senior Software Release Engineer at IBM from October 2011 to March 2014. Their responsibilities included installing and configuring ClearCase, optimizing VOB and view servers, setting up Hudson/Jenkins server, and providing training and support for Rational Team Concert.

Scarlette also has experience as a Software Engineer: Git/Gerrit Administrator at Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications from October 2010 to October 2011, where they supported Git and Gerrit and managed the ClearQuest/Defect Management System.

In addition, they worked at Nortel Networks in various roles from July 1998 to September 2009, including as a Release Engineer/ClearCase Administrator and Senior Software Engineer. Their responsibilities included software configuration management planning, implementing build procedures, and integrating third-party/open-source code.

Early in their career, Scarlette worked as a Sr. Technical Support Engineer at KLA-Tencor from September 1997 to July 1998, where they provided technical support for Optical Metrology systems and developed a factory automation interface strategy.

Scarlette Ng completed their education history in a chronological order. From 1993 to 1997, they attended the City University of New York-Herbert H. Lehman College and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Following that, they studied at the University of California Berkeley Extension, receiving a Certificate in Telecommunications and Network Engineering in 2000. From 2006 to 2011, Scarlette pursued a Master's degree in Engineering Management from Santa Clara University. Most recently, from 2016 to 2020, they attended the Overseas Theological Seminary and obtained a Master of Biblical Studies degree (MBS). Apart from their formal education, Scarlette also holds various certifications such as the GitLab Certified CI/CD Associate, GitLab Certified Git Associate, GitLab Certified Project Management Associate, all obtained in May 2023. Furthermore, they completed the DevOps Engineering on AWS certification offered by Amazon Web Services in April 2016.
