Phil Friday

Phil Friday is an experienced professional with a diverse work history. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Engineering Applications & Innovation at Reliable Automatic Sprinkler Co., Inc. Prior to this, they owned their own company, divergence. Phil also worked as a Principal/Fire Protection Engineer at Harrington Group, Inc. for almost two decades. Phil had a significant role in the Society of Fire Protection Engineers - Greater Atlanta Chapter as the Chapter President, Executive Committee member, and Conference Committee Chair. Additionally, they served as a Fire Consultant at Rimkus Consulting Group and worked as a Wildland Firefighter for the USDA Forest Service. Phil started their career at the Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department, holding various positions and gaining valuable experiences in the field.

Phil Friday obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga from 1992 to 1996. Phil then pursued a Master's degree in Fire Protection Engineering from the University of Maryland, which they completed between 1998 and 2000.
