Parag Shah

Parag Shah has extensive experience in the insurance industry, having worked for various companies in leadership positions. Parag started their career at Essar Steel as an Engineer in Project Planning & Purchase. Later, they joined Ricoh India Ltd as a Senior Territory Manager.

In 2001, Parag joined Max New York Life Insurance Co. Ltd and quickly climbed the ranks to become a Managing Partner across multiple locations. During their time at Max New York Life, they played a crucial role in expanding the company's presence in South Gujarat, leading to significant sales growth. Parag also successfully built the agency channel in Rajasthan, establishing Max New York Life as a priority brand for the private sector.

In 2012, Parag joined Kotak Mahindra Old Mutual Life Insurance as the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives - Tied Agency. Parag was responsible for implementing various strategic initiatives to enhance productivity and increase sales. Parag also served as the Zone Vice President for the West region, contributing to the Tide Transformation project and driving agency growth through improved coaching methodologies and business management processes.

Currently, Parag is working at Reliance Nippon Life Insurance as the Head of Premier Distribution Channel and previously served as the SVP & Head of the West Zone. In these roles, they formulated sales strategies, incentive structures, and operating plans for multiple regions and branch managers across India. Parag also focused on hiring new channel partners and maintaining relationships with existing ones.

Parag Shah completed their Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Bhavnagar University, which they attended from 1990 to 1994.
