Brant Martens

Brant Martens has a diverse work experience primarily in software engineering roles. Brant currently holds the position of Vice President of Software Engineering at ReliaQuest, starting in January 2023. Before that, they worked at ReliaQuest as a Senior Director of Software Engineering from January 2022 to January 2023, and as a Director of Software Engineering from August 2020 to December 2021.

Prior to their time at ReliaQuest, Brant worked at Walmart eCommerce, where they held the role of Interim Director of Software Engineering at Hayneedle from June 2019 to July 2020. In this position, they were responsible for leading a software development team and implementing OKR based agile teams.

Brant also has a significant experience with Hayneedle.com, starting in 2013. Brant held various roles within the company, including API Engineering Lead from November 2016 to May 2019, Sr. API Engineer from March 2015 to November 2016, and API Engineer from May 2013 to March 2015.

Earlier in their career, Brant worked at Micros Retail Systems and MICROS-Retail, both in the role of a Senior Application Architect from 2008 to 2013. Prior to that, they worked at eOne Group, LLC as a Technical Analyst from 2006 to 2008 and as a Developer from 2004 to 2006.

Brant's career started at EMS Inc as a Developer from 2003 to 2004, where they designed and implemented custom applications and databases using ASP.NET and Visual Basic.NET.

Brant's earliest work experience was as a Human Factors Intern at the Union Pacific Railroad from 1997 to 2000.

Brant Martens obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Management Information Systems from Iowa State University - Ivy College of Business, where they studied from 1998 to 2003. Brant also holds several additional certifications from ReliaQuest, including the #DoTheThings Bronze Badge, #GoGetIt Bronze Badge, #GetALittleBetter Bronze Badge, and #Uncommon Bronze Badge, all obtained in 2023.
