Paul Freer

Paul Freer currently serves as a Distinguished Software Engineer at Relief Cardiovascular, having previously held positions including Principal Embedded Software Engineer at Axonics, Inc. and Critical Software Design, Inc. Paul has extensive experience in developing embedded software and firmware for medical devices, such as implantable neurostimulators and defibrillators, using various technologies and programming languages including C#, UWP, Android, Java, and C. Prior roles include Director of Software Engineering at Nalu Medical, Fellow Software Engineer at Boston Scientific, and Sr Principal Software Engineer at Cameron Health, where significant contributions were made to both the software architecture and development processes. Paul began their career at IBM, focusing on embedded software for storage subsystems, and holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Oregon State University and a certification in Embedded Systems Engineering from UC Irvine.
