Martin Vahtera has extensive experience in digital marketing, sales, and business development. Martin worked as the VP and Head of Digital Marketing, Content, and Sales at REMA 1000 i Norge, where they focused on developing and optimizing the company's digital media mix and increasing sales through customer insights. Prior to that, they held the position of Head of Digital Sales at the same company, where they worked on the development and optimization of a customer loyalty program and tailored retail rewards.
Before their time at REMA 1000 i Norge, Martin worked at Telenor as a Channel Manager and E-Commerce Business Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for strategic and commercial development in the external retail channel and online marketing to increase sales on B2C platforms.
Martin also worked as an Account Manager at Telia Norge and Tele2, where they were responsible for sales and account management. Additionally, they worked as a Department Leader Telecom at POWER Norge AS, overseeing daily operations, sales, coaching, and purchasing. Lastly, they started their career as a Sales Representative at Elkjop AS.
Martin Vahtera completed their Executive MBA in Ledelse at BI Norwegian Business School from 2019 to 2022. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Management at the same institution from 2012 to 2018. Martin's earlier education includes General Studies at Nesodden VGS from 2004 to 2007.
