Jussi Laakkonen

Jussi Laakkonen (b. 1975) acted as the Executive Vice President and a Member of the Executive Board of the American game technology company Unity Technologies, steering the company’s new mobile game service. Previously Laakkonen was the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Applifier Ltd, which was acquired by Unity Technologies in the spring of 2014 in a bid to expand operations in Applifier’s rapidly growing video advertising network and the mobile game replay network Everyplay.

Prior to Applifier, Laakkonen held product development and management positions at the data security company F-Secure Plc, was the Business Development Director at the independent game developer Bugbear Entertainment, as well as managed the ASSEMBLY computer festival for nearly 25 years. Laakkonen is a board member at Vorago Holdings Ltd. He holds a Master’s degree in computer engineering from the Helsinki University of Technology (currently Aalto University).
