Benoît Moreau

Benoît Moreau has worked in the field of medicinal chemistry for over 20 years. Benoît began their career in 1999 as a summer student at Merck Frosst, and then as a summer intern at Merck in 2000. In 2008, they became a Research Scientist at Boehringer Ingelheim (Canada) Ltd., where they worked on lead identification and lead optimization projects. In 2013, they became a Senior Scientist at Blend Therapeutics, and then a Scientific Fellow at Tarveda (formerly Blend Therapeutics) in 2014. Here, they were project leader on oncology projects and led medicinal chemistry efforts on early and lead optimization projects. In 2018, they became Senior Director, Director, Associate Director, and Principal Scientist at Syros Pharmaceuticals. Most recently, they were appointed Head of Medicinal Chemistry at Remix Therapeutics in 2022.

Benoît Moreau's education history includes a FQRNT Postdoctoral researcher from Harvard University in Chemistry and Chemical Biology from 2006 to 2008; a Ph.D. from Université de Montréal in Chemistry from 2002 to 2006; and a M.Sc. from Université de Montréal in Chemistry from 2000 to 2002.
