Paras Sanghavi

Paras Sanghavi is currently an engineering manager and technical lead at Remix, where they develop a public transit planning platform that powers the mobility infrastructure for 350+ cities worldwide. The platform provides extensive tools to help cities create extensive route changes, communicate changes with beautiful presentation-ready graphics, and perform equity analysis at a system-level.

Prior to joining Remix, Paras was a technical lead at Code for America, where they worked on the ClearMyRecord project. ClearMyRecord is an online application that helps people get their criminal records cleared automatically. Paras was responsible for scoping and designing the back end of the application, which included developing algorithms to automatically determine eligibility for record clearance and integrating with various state databases.

Before Code for America, Paras worked as a software engineer at Pivotal Labs, where they helped clients across various industries build software using agile methodologies. Paras has a strong interest in using technology to solve social problems and is passionate about making government services more accessible and efficient.
