Daniel Bailin

Daniel Bailin has over 35 years of experience in the physical security industry. Daniel began their career in 1985 at Arrow Electronics as a Field Applications Engineer, progressing through various leadership and business development roles of increasing responsibilities. In 1995, Arrow Electronics acquired Anthem Electronics, and Bailin continued to grow in their roles, culminating in leading a team of 15 providing centralized technical support to a sales force of more than 800 generating over $3B sales of electronic component products. In 2000, Bailin joined Authentec as Vice President of North America Sales, leading North American sales activities for the startup biometric company that was one of the first to manufacture silicon-based fingerprint sensors. The company was later acquired by Apple and became TouchID on iPhone. In 2004, Bailin joined Bioscrypt as Vice President of the Embedded Applications Group, managing worldwide sales of Finger Scan matching modules to OEM customers. In 2006, Bailin rejoined HID Global as Director of Market Strategies and Business Development, responsible for development of new business using HID RFID cards and readers for applications outside the company’s core business. In 2009, Bailin joined Lumidigm, Inc. as Vice President of Channel Sales. In 2010, Bailin joined TASCET as Vice President of Business Development, leading business development for the startup developing biometric identity solutions. Also in 2010, Bailin rejoined HID Global into a new division in support of virtualized products for mobile handsets and wearables, and their roles continued to grow and evolve into leading the Innovation team and Acquisition activities for the company’s largest business unit. In 2018, Bailin joined BW Ventures LLC as Principal, providing consulting services sorting signal from noise with a focus on the physical security industry with emphasis on applying mobile platforms, biometrics, and other leading edge technologies to create strategies that drive growth. In 2019, Bailin joined UniKey Technologies as Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Product. Most recently, in 2021, Bailin joined RemoteLock as Chief Product Officer.

Daniel Bailin's education history includes a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from San Jose State University between 1982 and 1985, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of California, Davis between 1980 and 1982.
