Gretchen Guffy

Gretchen Guffy serves as Vice President of Government Affairs at Renaissance Learning since February 2024. Previously, Guffy held the role of Regional Vice President of Government Relations at Curriculum Associates from June 2023 to February 2024 and worked as an Education Program Specialist at the U.S. Department of Education between August 2020 and October 2021. Guffy's extensive experience in policy includes positions such as Senior Director of State and Federal Policy and Director of Policy Development at ACT from July 2013 to July 2020. Additionally, Guffy was Vice President of Policy & Research at 50CAN from May 2011 to June 2013 and held the position of Director of the Longitudinal Data System at the DC Office of the State Superintendent of Education from November 2009 to May 2011. Earlier roles include Strategic Data Fellow and Planner at Chicago Public Schools and a High School Reading Teacher. Guffy earned a Master of Public Policy from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Secondary Education from the University of Iowa.
