Chiara Pellus Soria

Chiara Pellus Soria serves as Vice President and Legal Counsel at RenaissanceRe since November 2023, focusing on the asset management arm that oversees investments in the Insurance Linked Securities (ILS) market. Prior to this role, Chiara was the Associate General Counsel at AlphaCat Managers for five years, managing private funds in the ILS sector. Additional experience includes serving as Assistant General Counsel at Oyster Consulting (Bermuda) Ltd., where responsibilities included assessing terrorist financing risks for the Bermuda Government. Chiara also worked in various legal roles within financial and regulatory organizations, including the Federal Trade Commission, Oppenheimer & Co., and FINRA. Educational credentials include a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Environmental Science from New York University.
