Guowen Zhang

Guowen Zhang serves as Vice President and Senior Actuary at RenaissanceRe since September 2022. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Actuary at Munich Reinsurance America, Inc. from December 2017 to September 2022, and AVP, Senior Managing Actuary at American Modern Insurance Group from December 2017 to July 2019. Guowen previously held various actuarial positions at AIG, QBE North America, The Hartford, and ISO, accumulating extensive expertise in predictive modeling, large account pricing, capital modeling, and enterprise risk management. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Statistics from the University of Chicago and a Master of Economics in Applied Econometrics from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. Guowen's career commenced as an economist at the Agricultural Bank of China from March 1993 to July 1997.
