Rebecca Gilhespy

Rebecca Gilhespy has a diverse work experience, beginning with a Graduate Civil Engineer role at Waterman Aspen in 2002. Rebecca then moved to Jacobs in 2003, where they worked as a Graduate Civil Engineer until 2008. From 2008 to 2010, they were the Account Analyst Team Leader at Kitco Metals Inc. During this time, they suggested improvements in the ERP system to the tech team and provided a link between customer service representatives and management with the tech team. From 2010 to 2013, they were employed at the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) as an Aviation Security Department employee, managing technology-related improvements for the Security and Facilitation Policy Section, including developing and maintaining all section websites. Since 2013, they have been self-employed, running their own business, BebeChicCanada, selling breastfeeding covers both through a website and Amazon. Most recently, they began working as a Junior Front End Software Engineer at RenderSEO in 2022.

Rebecca Gilhespy attended the University of Hertfordshire from 1997 to 2001, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Rebecca then attended Concordia University from 2004 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Most recently, they attended Concordia University in 2020-2021 for the Decode Bootcamp - Full Stack Developer program.
