Julie MacRae

Julie MacRae has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Julie began their career at Pfizer in 1991 as a Research Assistant and eventually worked their way up to become a Pharmaceutical Sciences Team Leader. During their time at Pfizer, they gained valuable experience in research and development.

In 2019, Julie joined Reneo Pharmaceuticals as a CMC Consultant. In this role, they provided expertise in Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls and played a crucial role in the development, manufacture, and analysis of drug substances. Julie also evaluated and managed CDMO partners, authored and reviewed regulatory submissions, and led tech transfer with drug substance partners. Julie ensured the protection of intellectual property and maintained a document management system to track CMC documentation. Julie effectively communicated with stakeholders to ensure project success.

In 2020, Julie was promoted to the position of Senior Director, Drug Substance at Reneo Pharmaceuticals. In this role, they continued to lead drug substance development efforts and managed CDMO partners to meet project deliverables. Julie also played a key role in addressing regulatory interactions and maintaining the document management system for CMC documentation.

Julie MacRae earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, where they studied from 1988 to 1991.
