Melina Demertzi

Melina Demertzi currently serves as a Senior Hardware Architect at Renesas Electronics, starting in December 2023. Previously, Melina held the position of System Architect and Performance Analyst at ZeroPoint Technologies AB from June 2019 to December 2023. Prior to that, Melina worked as a Performance Architect for the 3DXpoint memory controller at Intel Corporation from January 2018 to May 2019, where responsibilities included development and optimization of performance models. Melina's earlier experience includes roles as a Senior Performance Engineer at Oracle from March 2013 to January 2018, focusing on performance analysis of virtualization technologies and Oracle SPARC systems, and as a Graduate Research Assistant at both the University of Southern California and the Information Sciences Institute from 2006 to 2013, engaging in research related to application reliability and data-driven application-specific signal recognition. Melina holds a PhD in Computer Engineering, as well as dual Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, all from the University of Southern California.
