Craig "Mac" McCallum has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Craig "Mac" started their career as a Student at Northumberland College in 2000. In 2001, they joined the Royal Navy as a Trainee and went on to hold multiple roles including Marine Engineering Mechanic, Small Craft & Outboard Maintainer, Royal Marines Reserve, and Naval Base Safety Group Team Member. During their time in the Royal Navy, they received recognition for their work and qualifications as an Appointed Person Lifting Operations. In 2013, they joined BAE Systems as an Emergency Response Team Member, where they volunteered to respond to emergencies within a military dockyard. In 2016, they joined RES as a Wind Farm Site Manager, overseeing the day-to-day management of onshore Wind assets and completing the takeover and integration of projects. Craig "Mac" was later promoted to Site Operations Manager, responsible for ensuring contractual and statutory compliance across wind and solar assets, managing routine maintenance activities, and acting as a Trainer for the implementation of a Computerised Maintenance Management System project.

Craig "Mac" McCallum has a diverse education and certification history. Their formal education includes an Advanced Modern Apprenticeship - NVQ 3 in Marine Engineering from HMS Sultan, Royal Naval School of Marine Engineering (DCEME). Craig "Mac" also holds additional certifications including a Lantra Awards Certificate in 4x4 Off Road Driving (Professional) from Lantra, a Safety in Offshore Wind Energy certification from OCN London, a Defence Lifting Operations Appointed Person certification from the UK Ministry of Defence, and a TML Operator 2310 & Slinger Signaller certification from The British Army.

In addition, they have obtained certifications such as Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Certificate in Management (QCF) from BTEC, NEBOSH National Certificate in Occupation Health & Safety from NEBOSH, and an Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Engineering from the Alliance of Sector Skills Councils. Craig "Mac" also holds a Level 3 NVQ in Engineering Maintenance (Electrical) from City & Guilds and a BCS Level 2 Certificate in IT User Skills (ITQ) from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. Additionally, they have certifications in F Gas & ODS Regulations Category III and Category IV from City & Guilds.
