Elizabeth Smith

Director, Energy Resource at Renewable Energy Systems

Elizabeth Smith has a diverse work experience in the field of renewable energy and environmental science. Elizabeth began their career as a Hydrology Technician at USGS in 2003, where they collected and analyzed water data. In 2004, they worked as a Technical Assistant at Watershed Concepts, digitizing flood plain maps and assisting with administrative tasks. From 2005 to 2008, Elizabeth interned at Delta Air Lines and EAPC Wind Energy Services, gaining experience in meteorology and wind analysis. Since 2014, they have been working at Renewable Energy Systems Americas Inc., starting as a Wind Data Analyst and progressing to roles such as Energy Resource Engineer and Manager, Energy Resource Engineer. Elizabeth's expertise lies in energy resource engineering, atmospheric science, and wind analysis.

Elizabeth Smith attended the University of North Carolina Asheville from 2004 to 2008, where they completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Atmospheric Science. In addition to their science studies, they also pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics during the same period at the University of North Carolina at Asheville.
