Head Of Business Development at Renewable Energy Systems

James Hill has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the renewable energy and engineering sectors. James started their career at Crompton Greaves - Pauwels Transformers as a Sales & Tendering Engineer, where they prepared and managed tenders for distribution and power transformers. James then joined Building Automation Solutions Limited as a Project Engineer, where they engineered building management systems and managed system installations. James later moved to Siemens Wind Power, where they held multiple roles including Sales & Bid Manager, Head of Bid Management, Facilities Manager, and Offshore Technical Sales Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for sales activities, stakeholder management, tender preparation, contract negotiation, and proposal development for wind farm service agreements. Currently, James is employed at RES (Renewable Energy Systems Ltd) as the Head Of Business Development, responsible for generating sales opportunities and negotiating contracts for onshore and offshore wind, solar, and battery storage projects. James also performs ad-hoc consultancy work related to operations and maintenance strategies.

James Hill completed their high school education at Denny High School from 1994 to 1999, where they studied mathematics, physics, chemistry, accounting, and finance. James obtained several certifications in the field of electrical engineering, including Advanced Technical Certificates in Control Functions of Heating Plants, Control of Ventilations and Air Conditioning Plants, and Refrigeration Technology from the Electrical Contractors' Association (ECA) in June 2008. In March 2008, they also received Technical Certificates in Fundamentals of Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning, Measuring & Control Technology, and Hydraulics from the same institution. In August 2007, they obtained an Intermediate Certificate for Domestic Electrical Installers from EAL Awards. Furthermore, they received several certifications from City & Guilds, including the 2377 - Level 3, Inspection & Testing of Electrical Equipment, 2381 - Level 3, Requirements for Electrical Installations, and 2391 - Level 3, Inspection, Testing & Certification of Electrical Installations, all in July 2007.
