Leo Holmes is an experienced professional with a strong background in health, safety, and quality management. Leo currently serves as the Head of Health, Safety & Quality (Australia) at RES, a position they have held since July 2021. Prior to this role, Leo worked at Goldwind as the Corporate HSEQ Manager (Australia) from August 2017 to July 2021. Leo also gained experience as the Head of Safety (Australia and New Zealand) at KONE from January 2016 to August 2017, and as the Zero Harm National Power Systems Safety Manager (Australia) at Downer from December 2010 to December 2015. Leo's previous positions include Head of Health, Safety & Quality (Australia) at JFTA Engineering Services from September 2008 to November 2010, NSW/ACT HSSE Compliance Specialist at Shell from July 2005 to August 2008, and Safety Health Environment Advisor/Manager at ExxonMobil from August 2001 to July 2005. Leo began their career as an Acoustic Engineering Consultant at Richard Heggie and Associates from March 2000 to March 2001. Leo's diverse work experience showcases their expertise in managing and ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and quality in various industries.

Leo Holmes attended Trinity College Dublin from 1992 to 1996, where they received a Quartercentenary Full Academic Scholarship. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree in the field of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering. Additionally, they obtained a Bachelor of Mathematics degree in Mathematics from Trinity College Dublin from 1992 to 1995. Later, in 2008 to 2009, Leo studied at Federation University Australia and completed a Cert IV in Occupational Health and Safety. In 2014 to 2016, they obtained a Graduate Certificate in OHS from the University of Newcastle, specializing in Workplace Health and Safety.
