Roberta Magoba

Roberta Magoba has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Roberta is currently working as a Development Project Manager at RES since December 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Director at Green Approaches Limited from January 2015 and is still in this role. In this position, they conducted major environmental consultancy assignments, assisted in preparing and proof-reading consultancy reports, and identified innovative development points in company projects.

Before joining Green Approaches Limited, Roberta worked as a Cultural Liaison at Kua from April 2018. Roberta collaborated with the core team to build communication channels and collaboration points with international stakeholders and provided original designs for company branding. Roberta also participated in the delivery of sustainable Ugandan coffee to Australian clients.

Roberta is also an accomplished Visual Artist and has been operating their own company, Roberta Magoba Artwork, since January 2014. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Project Consultant at JBS&G - Fast Capable Experts from August 2019 to November 2022, where they provided professional consultancy duties to clients and delivered project outcomes and reports within agreed timelines.

Roberta has also worked as an Environmental/Social Advisor at the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation from July 2018 to November 2018. In this role, they contributed to problem-solving discussions and provided a humanities perspective to develop innovative solutions for clean water supply in rural Sri-Lankan communities.

Roberta has prior experience as a Research Assistant at UNSW from April 2017 to January 2018, a Radio Presenter at Radiocity Uganda from September 2015 to February 2017, and as a Youth Development Worker at EcoAction Uganda & Green Approaches Limited from March 2015 to January 2016.

Furthermore, they held the title of Miss Tourism World Uganda at Miss Tourism World Limited from January 2014 to January 2015. Overall, Roberta Magoba has demonstrated their versatility and expertise in various roles and industries throughout their career.

Roberta Magoba began their education at Aga Khan Kampala in 2010 and completed their studies there in 2014. However, no details were provided regarding the degree they pursued or the field of study. From 2016 to 2018, they attended UNSW, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Environmental Studies. Most recently, from 2019 to 2020, they pursued a Master's degree in Environmental Policy and Management at the University of Adelaide.
