Sanjay Patel

Sanjay Patel has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Sanjay started their career at Seeboard (EDF Energy) as a Project Manager in 1998. Sanjay then joined EDF Energy as a Business Improvement Manager, where they worked for 11 years.

In 2009, Sanjay moved to Thames Water as the Head of IS Service Delivery, responsible for delivering a portfolio of projects and managing a budget of over £50 million. Sanjay also served as the Head of Business Integration Centre at Thames Water, where they created a new operating model and brand, maximizing the investment in SAP.

In 2013, Sanjay joined EDF Energy again as a Programme Delivery Manager, overseeing the implementation of SMART metering field systems. Sanjay later worked at UK Power Networks as the Head of Strategy, Architecture, and Commercial, and as the Interim Head of Information Systems, responsible for all IT aspects and managing a team of around 85 employees.

Currently, Sanjay is working at RES (Renewable Energy Systems Ltd) as the Global Chief Information Officer. In this role, they lead the development and implementation of global information technology and systems, focusing on technology enablement, IT maturity, and effectiveness across the company.

Throughout their career, Sanjay has demonstrated achievements in IT strategy, project delivery, cost reduction, contract management, and improving cyber security controls. Sanjay is known for building relationships with senior executives and developing IT plans aligned with business objectives.

Sanjay Patel attended London South Bank University from 1999 to 2003, where they earned a First Class Honours degree in Business Studies and IT.
