Assistant Project Manager at Renewable Energy Systems

Tom Anderson has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Tom began their career as a Ski Instructor from 2007 to 2010. Tom then worked as a Rope Access Technician while being self-employed from January 2010 to May 2011. Tom later joined Obelisk as a Project Manager from October 2010 to May 2011. Since 2011, they have been working at RES, where they have held several positions, including Mast Installation Supervisor, Instrumentation Engineer, Mast Installation Team Coordinator, Mast Team Manager, Senior Project Engineer, Tower Coordinator, Field Engineer, Project Engineer, and currently as an Assistant Project Manager. In their recent roles at RES, Tom has been responsible for managing and delivering mast, measurement, and lifting projects, including contractor and site management, installation and maintenance of towers, staff management, and the creation of RAMS, SSOW, and lift plans. Tom has also gained experience in civil works, design review, and equipment coordination. Overall, Tom has demonstrated a versatile skill set and a track record of successfully managing and delivering projects.

Tom Anderson's education history includes attending Highfield School from 1999 to 2005. Tom obtained a degree in Physics Studies from Lancaster University, where they studied physics from 2005 to 2007.

In addition to their formal education, Tom has received various certifications throughout their career. These certifications include LICCON and influence of wind on lifting operations from Liebherr Mobile and Crawler Cranes in September 2016, Conflict Management from RES (Renewable Energy Systems Ltd) in April 2016, and Foundation in Leadership and Management from RES (Renewable Energy Systems Ltd) in August 2014.

Tom also holds certifications in areas such as manual handling, VHF Marine Radio, ROSPA 4x4 Offroad driving, IOSH Managing Safely, and Hytor Torque Training. Tom obtained their CAT B+E Car and Trailer License from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) in April 2005.

More recently, Tom obtained a Level 5 NVQ Diploma in Controlling Lifting Operations - Planning Lifts (Construction) (QCF) from CITB in November 2016. Tom also holds certifications in Lift Operations - Appointed Person (Competent Operator), SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme), NRSWA Monitoring Signing, Lighting & Guarding – Supervisor, First Aid at Work, IRATA Level 1, BOSIET including HUET and EBS, Rigging and Light Lifting, PPE inspection, and Class A1 Anchor Devices.

Overall, Tom Anderson has a diverse educational background and a range of certifications that have prepared him for a career in various industries, including physics and renewable energy systems.
