Miguel Benayas Penas

Miguel Benayas Penas has an extensive work history in the aerospace and engineering sectors. Miguel started as an Aerospace Engineer Intern at the German Aerospace Center and the European Space Agency before moving on to roles at NASA, where they worked as a Data Scientist & Flight Dynamics Engineer, contributing to projects on asteroid trajectory classification and target-search algorithms. Miguel also gained experience as an Engineering Consultant at Capgemini Engineering and held a role as Lead Data Scientist at Renfe. Currently, they are working at NASA as an Aerospace Engineer.

Miguel Benayas Penas completed a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid from 2010 to 2015. Miguel then pursued a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering with a specialization in Space Flight at Delft University of Technology from 2015 to 2020. In 2021, they enrolled in Universidad Complutense de Madrid to obtain a Master of Science in Big Data & Business Analytics, focusing on Data Science. Additionally, Miguel holds certifications in Neural Networks and Deep Learning from Coursera, a Certificate in Advanced English from the University of Cambridge, and a B2 level certification in French from Educational Testing Service (ETS).
