James Knight

James Knight is a seasoned Clinical Engineer with extensive experience in testing, repairing, and installing medical equipment systems, currently serving at Renown Health since August 2016. Knight has also been an active member of HIMSS since 2012, contributing to IHE demonstrations and member recruitment. Previous roles include positions at Carson Valley Medical Center and technical consultant roles at Black Diamond Video and Rigel Test Equipment, where responsibilities focused on service training and biomedical equipment testing. In earlier positions, Knight worked as a Clinical Systems Engineer at Kaiser Permanente, integrating medical devices with enterprise databases, and held management responsibilities as Supervisor of Clinical Engineering at Adventist Health. Knight's professional involvement includes membership in several healthcare technology organizations, and a BSEE degree from the University of South Carolina, earned between 1988 and 1993.
