John Sturman

John Sturman is a seasoned academic and IT professional with extensive experience in computer science education and technology management. As a Computer Science Faculty member at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute since January 2002, John has taught numerous courses, including Python and C++, and has designed a senior-level Software Design and Documentation course. Additional roles include facilitating events for the Open Hub Project and teaching at Columbia-Greene Community College. John has held various technical and management positions, including Program Manager at AlbanyCanCode and IT Specialist at Health Alliance of the Hudson Valley. With educational credentials from Columbia University and the University at Buffalo, including a Master's degree in Engineering/Industrial Management, John possesses a diverse skill set that bridges education, technology, and management.
