Stanley Dunn is an accomplished academic leader currently serving as the Vice Provost and Dean of Graduate Education at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute since July 2008. Prior to this role, Stanley held the positions of Associate Dean of Engineering and Director of the Program in Packaging Science and Engineering at Rutgers University from July 1986 to June 2008, along with a faculty role in Biomedical Engineering that included appointments in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science. Stanley's early career included a lecturer position in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Maryland from August 1985 to June 1986, and Stanley completed undergraduate studies at Drexel University between 1974 and 1979, earning two Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Advanced education includes a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, and a Ph.D. in Imaging Science from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
