Usman Riaz

Usman Riaz is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, specializing in the development of Tokamak Modeling and Meshing Software in collaboration with Simmetrix Inc. and Princeton Plasma Physics Lab. Previously, Usman served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Central Michigan University, engaging in research projects related to mechanical and materials engineering, including the design of a cardiovascular stent and the analysis of Magnesium alloys for biomedical applications. Usman also has experience as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila, where investigations focused on solar-powered cooling systems, and as a Management Intern at Pakistan Oilfields Limited, gaining practical knowledge in engine and plant maintenance. Currently pursuing a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Usman also holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila.
