The Maison Repetto, a unique « artisan » in the world of luxury. Repetto's line of products is inspired by the world of ballet's values along with exceptional and exclusive artisan know-how, a tradition carried on in its workshops based in Dordogne for 65 years. The story of the Maison Repetto began in 1947 with Rose Repetto, the mother of Roland Petit, Opera de Paris choreographer and ballet dancer. He asked her to create ballet shoes in her workshop located near the Opera de Paris. The Maison Repetto was born and the brand became the reference for ballet dancers. Ballet is its heritage from the past, its imagery reference and its inspiration for its values. In 1956, Brigitte Bardot ordered the first ballerinas from Rose. They were made in the same way as the ballet shoes, using the "cousu-retourné" technique – Stitch and return method.
