Renata Martin

Director - Gene Therapy And Synthetic Biology at Replay Therapeutics

Renata Martin is currently working as a Principal Scientist in Synthetic Biology and Gene Therapy at Replay. Prior to this, they held roles as a Senior Scientist at Replay and Scientist II at Resilience and Poseida Therapeutics, Inc. Renata completed their PhD in Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine at Stanford University, where they published two first author papers focusing on safety switch systems for human pluripotent stem cell-based therapies and genome editing in human induced pluripotent stem cells. Before Stanford, Renata conducted research at Harvard University and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, gaining experience in iPSC research, genome editing, and disease modeling. They also hold a Bachelor of Science in Immunology from Brown University and an Associate of Science in Biology from Essex County College.
