Alex Bowes

Alex Bowes has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Alex joined Replicant in 2020 as a Senior Software Engineer. Prior to that, they worked at Thomson Reuters from 2017 to 2020, where they held various roles including Lead Software Engineer and Senior Software Developer. At Thomson Reuters, they led the Legal Tracker Platform Services Team, built out Kubernetes and Istio based service mesh on Azure, and helped migrate new features to this platform. Alex also led the Legal Center team. Before that, Alex worked at IBM Canada from 2014 to 2017 as a Staff Software Developer, taking on the role of Security Lead. Alex mainly worked on IBM Websphere Commerce Aurora Store and Commerce Insights, where they focused on frontend development but also contributed to backend, test automation, and dev-ops infrastructure. Alex started their career in 2012 as a Software Developer for the Government of Canada.

Alex Bowes attended McMaster University from 2009 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and BioMedical Engineering.
