Joe Berenz has a diverse range of work experience in digital marketing and advertising. Joe started as a Sales Associate at Finishline Sports Apparel in 2008 before moving on to work as a Pro Shop Employee at Whispering Springs Golf Course in 2009. In 2012, they worked as a Marketing Intern at J. F. Ahern Company before transitioning to an internship with Bemis Company, Inc. on the Kraft Foods Team in 2013.

Berenz then joined Rocket Clicks in 2014 as a PPC Advertising Analyst, followed by roles as a Search Analyst and later Digital Manager at Cramer-Krasselt from 2015 to 2018. At Cramer-Krasselt, they gained experience in digital marketing and search analysis.

In 2018, Berenz joined ZoomInfo as a Digital Advertising Manager. Joe Berenz attended the University of Minnesota in 2009 but did not obtain a degree or field of study. From 2010 to 2013, they studied at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a focus on Marketing. Additionally, Joe Berenz has a certification as a Certified Google AdWords Professional, although the institution and exact date of obtaining the certification are unknown.
