Timur Ganiev

Timur Ganiev has worked as an NLP Engineer and Data Scientist since 2017. In 2017, they worked as a Junior .NET developer at BARS GROUP, where they introduced services for processing Pension Fund, Social Insurance Fund and Employment Centre applications, and improved an ADO. NET based database interaction project. From 2018 to 2020, they worked at Advance.Careers as a Data Scientist, where they built resume and job posting parsing systems, and enhanced job matching score by 10%. From 2020 to 2022, they worked at Sberbank as an NLP Engineer and Data Scientist, where they led a team of 4 engineers, managed 3+ projects from scratch to production ready solutions, wrote a multi-target text classification model based on lightweight CNN architecture, and gained model robustness by using Integrated Gradients method along with adversarial OCR-based dataset. Since 2022, they have been working at Replika and Embedika as an NLP Engineer, where they saw to completion an active learning service on multi-modal data and introduced a toxic classifier service, achieving 94% F1-Score.

Timur Ganiev received a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Kazan National Research Technical University named after A.N.Tupolev – KAI between 2014 and 2018.
