Juan Carlos Sigler Priego

Juan Carlos Sigler Priego has worked in the software engineering field since 2018. Juan Carlos began their career as a Software Engineer Intern at Instagram in 2018, where they worked on the Instagram Ads Quality team. During their time there, they built infrastructure for smart insertion of ads based on user’s historical behavior and improved the data storage for users’ historical ad consumption. In 2019, they worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Facebook, where they worked on the Video Infra team and improved evictions of the distributed virtual memory, VCache, and built infrastructure for data storage analysis. In 2020, they returned to Instagram as a Software Engineer Intern and worked on the Instagram Well-being organization. During their time there, they built a structured service for client mobile signals process to serve integrity detection on Instagram and integrated user media upload actions to integrity detection and restriction system. In 2021, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at 99minutos.com and as a Software Engineer Intern at WhatsApp. Currently, they are working as a Data Infra Engineer at Replit.

Juan Carlos Sigler Priego is currently working towards a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, which they expect to complete in 2022. In addition, they have obtained two certifications: ICPC from ICPC - International Collegiate Programming Contest in November 2022, and Conducting Motivational 1-on-1 Reviews from LinkedIn in June 2020.
