Josh Prater

Josh Prater, P.E. is a Senior Drilling Engineer at Repsol, focusing on operations in the Marcellus Shale basin since July 2021. Prior to this role, Josh provided drilling engineering services for Tapstone Energy and accumulated extensive experience at Chesapeake Energy over nearly 13 years, where responsibilities included overseeing drilling projects in both the Eagle Ford and Marcellus Shale, optimizing well performance, and enhancing reserves. With a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering and Geology & Geophysics from Missouri University of Science and Technology, as well as ongoing MBA studies at Oklahoma State University, Josh possesses a strong technical foundation complemented by advanced business management knowledge.
