Don Almario - Cism, Cisa

Don Almario has a diverse and extensive work experience in the IT industry. Don currently works as the IT Governance Director at Republic Indemnity since 2010. Before that, they served as the Divisional VP IT Shared Services at Great American Insurance from 2006 to 2010. Prior to that, they worked as the Assistant VP Systems Development at RLI Insurance from 2004 to 2006.

Their longest tenure was at RLI Insurance, where they held various roles from 1993 to 2004. During this time, they served as the Project Leader to Managing Director, Technology and Infrastructure. In this role, they implemented a PMO to align business initiatives with corporate objectives, developed an enterprise portal and integrated document management system, and transitioned AS/400 environment to a web server farm. Don also developed an application development foundation for eBusiness systems using SOA web services development methodology.

Before joining RLI Insurance, Don worked as a Senior Analyst and Project Leader at AIG from 1990 to 1993, and as a Programmer and Senior Systems Analyst at Nestle from 1984 to 1989.

Don Almario has a Bachelor's degree in Management Engineering from Ateneo de Manila University. Don also studied Managing Effective Organization at Bradley University - Foster College of Business Administration. No specific start or end years were provided for either educational experience.
