Garrett Johnson

Garrett Johnson is currently a Product Manager at Republic. Garrett has previously held the position of Director of Product at Capital Factory from August 2020 to October 2021. In this role, they led product strategy and development to support Capital Factory, the center of gravity for entrepreneurship in Texas. Prior to that, they were the CEO and Head of Product at Union (acquired by Capital Factory) from August 2017 to August 2020. At Union, they lead strategy, product and operations for a startup community platform supporting top entrepreneurship networks. Garrett has also worked as a Manager for Global Programs at 76 Forward from August 2013 to August 2017. In this role, they managed global programs at civic tech incubator 76 Forward (formerly 1776), including their 75-city Challenge Cup pitch competition spanning San Francisco, NYC, London, Chicago, Tel Aviv, Dubai, Mexico City, Tokyo, Singapore, Nairobi, Bangalore and many others. This supported 450 startups and 10,000+ attendees annually. Garrett's other previous positions include Research Assistant at Saylor Academy from April 2013 to July 2013 and Individual Giving & Membership Associate at Share Our Strength | No Kid Hungry from November 2012 to January 2013.

Garrett Johnson has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science, and the Arts. Garrett also has a certification in Business for Arts, Science, and Engineering Students from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business. Additionally, they are certified in Scaling Product Delivery from Reforge and Climate Fellowship, Learning for Action from Terra.do. Finally, they have a certification in General Assembly - Product Management from General Assembly.
