Paul van Motman has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Paul is currently working as a Mobile Developer at Request Finance, where they are responsible for building the expenses feature and the mobile app for employees to submit expenses. Prior to this, Paul co-founded Surf Alarm, an automatic and customizable surf alerts app available for both iOS and Android.

Before that, they worked as a Mobile Developer at Recharge.com, a fin-tech scale-up, where they built four React Native apps. Paul also co-founded Tideline Surf Reports, a personal and global surf reporting tool. Additionally, they had a role as a Senior React Native App Developer at Fish on Fire, where they eventually took on the final responsibility for projects and mentored junior developers.

Furthermore, Paul worked as a Full Stack Developer at Bizboard, focusing on creating animated applications for various platforms. Paul also had experience as a Teaching Assistant at The New York Code + Design Academy and as a Trainee Full-Stack Web Developer at B. Startup School Amsterdam (BSSA). Paul's first professional experience was as a Project Lead at Enactus Vrije Universiteit.

Paul van Motman holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Entrepreneurship & Innovation from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam), which they completed from 2013 to 2014. Prior to that, from 2011 to 2012, they pursued an Erasmus Minor in the Economische faculteit at Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV). Their Bachelor's Degree, with a major in Economics of Development, was received from Wageningen University & Research from 2008 to 2012. Paul completed their high school education at Keizer Karel College, where they pursued a Gymnasium program from 2001 to 2007.
