Kristen McQueary is a seasoned journalist and media executive with extensive experience in editorial leadership and political reporting. Currently serving as Vice President at Res Publica Group since October 2021, McQueary also holds the position of Editorial Page Editor and Editorial Board Member at the Chicago Tribune, contributing to opinion pieces and guiding endorsement processes during election seasons. Previous roles include Statehouse reporter for Chicago Public Media/WBEZ and the Chicago News Cooperative, and Political Columnist for SouthtownStar/Sun-Times News Group, as well as a Metro reporter at the Peoria Journal Star. McQueary began their career at The Pantagraph, working on both the copy desk and as a reporter. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Public Affairs Reporting from the University of Illinois Springfield and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Illinois State University.
