Alex Pickard

Alex Pickard is responsible for conducting research and writing to support Research Affiliates’ publications. Since joining the firm, he has contributed a number of research insights on market impact trading costs, mutual fund expected returns, and factor timing. Additionally, Alex has assisted with the development and implementation of the firm’s systematic trading strategies.

Alex received a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas, Austin, and a master of financial engineering from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of CFA Institute and CFA Society Orange County.
