Vesa Varpula

Vesa Varpula is an accomplished web communications specialist at the Academy of Finland, a position held since May 2009. Prior to this role, Vesa gained extensive experience at Finnair from January 1995 to May 2009, serving in various capacities including Web Manager, where responsibilities encompassed content management for finnair.com and Central European sites, as well as eCommerce developer and new media planner, focusing on usability and project management for the airline's first website. Vesa also worked as an editor and layout designer for the Finnair Cargo bulletin. Early in Vesa's career, communication education was provided at Kallio High School in Helsinki from August 1989 to May 1992. Vesa holds a Master's degree in Social Sciences with a specialization in Communication and Economics from the University of Helsinki and completed Vocational Teacher Education in Communication at Haaga Helia from 2009 to 2011.
