Kevin Burgess

Kevin Burgess currently serves as a Senior Research Analyst at Research for Action, a position held since January 2023, after previously working as a Research Analyst. From August 2018 to August 2022, Kevin worked as a High School Social Studies Teacher at Parish Episcopal School, instructing various grade levels in World History and U.S. History courses. Prior experience includes teaching high school social studies at Dallas Independent School District from August 2014 to July 2018, where notable achievements included enhancing ELL student success rates and increasing student participation in tennis recruitment. Kevin's earlier roles encompass volunteer English Second Language teaching at Literacy Achieves and several positions in education and tutoring, including a TEFL teaching role with the Peace Corps in Kyrgyzstan. Kevin holds a Master of Public Affairs degree from Indiana University Bloomington, a Master's in Secondary Education from the University of North Texas, and a Bachelor of Arts in Magazine Journalism and Political Science from Syracuse University.
