Cody Acuña

Cody Acuña has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Cody currently works as a Software and Data Integrator at Research Innovations Incorporated, where they bring dark data into light by integrating and synchronizing technology initiatives. Cody collaborates with program leads to understand and relay client requirements.

Prior to their current role, Cody worked in the US Navy, holding several leadership positions. Cody served as the Chief of Staff at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, the largest U.S. Counterterrorism base in Africa. Cody also served as Director of Operations, Director of Safety, and Quality Assurance Director for Maintenance, showcasing their expertise in aviation operations and safety.

Cody has also excelled in the private sector, working as an Operations Planner and Program Manager at H4 Enterprises, LLC, and SAIC. Here, they demonstrated strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate cross-functional planning teams.

Additionally, Cody co-founded Honokea Surf Parks, where they played a pivotal role in creating a first-of-its-kind surfing water park. Cody conducted market research, developed business plans, and secured private equity funding for the project.

Cody completed the "Introduction to Big Data" course from the University of California San Diego via Coursera in November 2021. In August 2019, they obtained the "Senior Shore Leadership Course Certification" from Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) HQ.

Cody also holds a "Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance" from the United States Department of Defense, obtained in 2018. In 2012, they achieved the "Continuous Process Improvement (Lean Six Sigma Equivalent) Yellow Belt Qualification" from the United States Marine Corps. Their earliest certification is the "Aviation Safety Officer" qualification from the Naval Safety Center, obtained in 2010.
