Chamindu Liyanapatirana

Chamindu Liyanapatirana is a Group Manager and Research Chemist at RTI International, with experience since 2018 in supervising staff and providing technical and fiscal leadership for the National Toxicology Program contract. Responsibilities include directing multiple internal R&D projects focused on the development of novel analytical methods for per- and poly-fluorinated alkyl substances (PFAS) and analyzing transformation products for PFAS mitigation. Prior to this role, Chamindu held the position of Senior Analytical Research Chemist at Buckman from May 2011 to May 2018, where expertise in various analytical instrumentation for method development and validation was applied. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry from Mississippi State University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Fisheries Biology from the University of Ruhuna.
