Cynthia Bland

Cynthia Bland is a highly experienced statistician, currently serving as the Senior Director for the Center for Official Statistics at RTI International since June 2003, where leadership encompasses over 80 statisticians and focuses on statistical design and analysis. Cynthia also teaches Analytical Tools for Decision Making as an Adjunct Instructor at MBA@UNC, engaging with MBA students on key statistical concepts. Previous contributions include membership in the Transportation Research Board's Task Force for the National Household Travel Survey and the Travel Survey Committee, emphasizing the enhancement of transportation surveys. Early career experiences include internships at the National Institutes of Health and King's College Hospital, combined with an MPH in Biostatistics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a BS in Statistics and Economics from American University.
