Kristina Brunelle

Head Of Global Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging at Research Triangle Institute

Kristina Brunelle, MEd, CDE has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Kristina currently works at RTI International as the Head of Global Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging, where they lead the implementation of institute-wide initiatives aligned with the EDIB strategy. Kristina consults with leaders at all levels of the organization on EDIB concepts and best practices, and oversees training efforts to create an inclusive work environment.

Prior to their current role, Brunelle served as the Strategic Advisor for the Diversity & Inclusion Council and Director of Organizational Development and Learning at RTI International. In this capacity, they led the Council of advocates focused on implementing RTI's Diversity & Inclusion strategy and facilitated the creation of Employee Resource Groups. Kristina also provided consultation and facilitation services for aligning annual plans with the organization's strategic plan.

Before joining RTI International, Brunelle worked at Red Hat as an Organizational Strategist, where they drove operational excellence through effective diversity and inclusion and talent strategies. At Analysis Group, they served as the Head of Learning and Development, designing and developing strategic learning initiatives for the firm.

Brunelle also has experience in learning and development roles at Vistaprint, where they directed the design and delivery of comprehensive training initiatives for mid-level managers and leaders. Kristina worked at The Forum Corporation as a Senior Engagement Manager, leading complex client engagements and overseeing the design and development of organizational effectiveness solutions. At Novell, Brunelle served as the Senior Training Manager/Director, managing multiple training and organizational development initiatives.

Earlier in their career, Brunelle worked as a Learning Specialist at Cambridge Technology Partners. Kristina holds a Master's degree in Education and is a Certified Diversity Executive.

Kristina Brunelle holds a Master's in Education from Harvard University, with a focus on Education and Adult Learning. Kristina also completed their BA at Tufts University. Furthermore, Kristina obtained an Organizational Development Certification in Organizational Consulting and Change Leadership from Georgetown University. Kristina holds a Master's Certification in Executive Coaching from William James College and completed a Year Abroad program at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. In terms of additional certifications, Kristina obtained the MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) certification from The Myers-Briggs Company in 2022. In 2017, they obtained the Gallup's StrengthsFinder Assessment certification from Gallup. Kristina also holds a WorkPlace Big5 certification from the Center for Applied Cognitive Studies (CentACS) obtained in 2007. Additionally, Kristina is a Certified Diversity Executive as recognized by The Society for Diversity. Kristina has also obtained certifications in Emotional Social Competence Inventory from Korn Ferry and Hogan Assessment from Performance Programs, Inc.
