Karyn Barrett

Karyn Barrett has an extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Karyn has worked as the Director of Human Resources at Reser's Fine Foods since 2018. Prior to that, they were the Director of Customer Experience at the Veterans Health Administration, Community Care from 2014. In this role, they led a team of 550+ employees and managed national healthcare contracts worth over $10B. Additionally, they oversaw contract center support for various healthcare programs. Before that, Karyn worked at the Department of Veterans Affairs as the Director of VHA Health Resource Center from 2010 to 2014. Here, they managed a staff of 845 FTE and had an annual budget of $53M. Lastly, they served as the Deputy Director at VHA Health Resource Center from 2007 to 2010, where they oversaw various administrative and supporting operations.

Karyn Barrett obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General and Political Science from The University of Kansas. Karyn then went on to pursue a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the same institution.
