Rajesh Bansal

Rajesh Bansal has a strong and diverse work experience in the financial and international policy sectors. Rajesh is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Reserve Bank Innovation Hub (RBIH) since May 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Advisor at Carnegie Endowment for International Peace from November 2019 to January 2021. Before that, they held multiple positions at BFA (Bankable Frontier Associates), including Asia Regional Director and Senior Advisor, from April 2016 to July 2019. Rajesh also served as the General Manager at Reserve Bank of India (RBI) from April 2015 to March 2016. Rajesh began their career at Reserve Bank of India in 1993, where they worked as a Deputy General Manager until March 2010. During this period, from March 2010 to March 2015, they took on the role of Assistant Director General at UIDAI, Government of India. Overall, Rajesh Bansal has accumulated a wealth of experience and expertise in various leadership and advisory roles within the financial and public sectors.

Rajesh Bansal obtained a Master's degree in Development Economics and International Development from Duke University in 2008-2009. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Shri Ram College of Commerce in 1988-1991.
