Calista Cheung

Calista Cheung is a seasoned economist with extensive experience in research and analytics. Currently serving as Manager of Research and Analytics at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand since February 2024, Calista previously held the position of Regional Director (Economics) for BC/Yukon at the Bank of Canada from June 2014 to February 2024, where responsibilities included overseeing regional economic research, stakeholder engagement, and strategic policy analysis. Prior to that, Calista worked as a Senior Economist in the Economics Department at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) from March 2009 to June 2014, leading research on public policies. Other positions include Senior Economist at the Bank of Canada, Economist at the European Central Bank, and an internship at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. Calista holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Joint Honours Economics and Finance, a Master of Arts in Economics from Boston University, and completed the International Baccalaureate at Chinese International School in Hong Kong.
