Paul Macpherson is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer and Manager of Cyber Security at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand since March 2019, Paul has previously held the position of Head of Security at Xero from January 2015 to January 2019. Earlier in their career, Paul worked at Westpac New Zealand Limited as both an Information Security Officer and Senior Information Security Consultant, and at KPMG LLP as a Senior Manager. Paul also contributed to KPMG New Zealand as a Senior Manager in Risk Advisory Services and held the role of Senior Security Administrator at both the New Zealand Police and Trust Bank New Zealand. Paul is certified as a CISSP, CCSP, and SCF. Education was received at Waimea College.
